New E-MTB tires from Kenda, MAXXIS and Schwalbe

While the market is far from flooded with specific tires for E-MTBs, the outlook is getting brighter (and burlier) by the day. Of course, there’s nothing stopping you from riding any regular tire with a decent tread and durable casing, but these are likely to reach their limits pretty rapidly – especially if we’re talking plus-size. For 2017, we’re stoked to see that the scene is expanding with some long-lasting loops of rubber.
Launched prior to EUROBIKE, the E-MTB line-up from Kenda consists of specific versions of their three most popular tires: the plus-size Havoc Plus, the trail-specific Nevegal X Pro and the downhill-orientated Honey Badger DH Pro. All three models feature the so-called EMC casing, which promises increased puncture protection and an additional layer in the sidewalls.
